Janine Y Ellis

    My name is Janine Y. Ellis and I'm a dedicated Elementary School Teacher at the Englewood on the Palisades Charter School with a proven track record in education and a strong relationship with parents within the Englewood Community and beyond.  I have been an educator for 20 plus years and am the current "Co-President of  AFT Charter Teachers Local 6450 Union".  A graduate of Dwight Morrow High School , I have a B.S. Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Montclair State University and am currently working on a Masters degree in Education Policy and Leadership at American University. I have resided in Englewood for the past 37 years.
    Being a woman of strong faith, I have a daughter, a granddaughter, and my 86 year old mother who I thank God for daily.  Above all, I possess an inspiring excitement about the future and always look to  empower those who cross my path.  My love for this great city makes me work harder, "For a better Englewood".
